RADAR NAVIGATION, RADAR PLOTTING, USE OF ARPA
ABOUT COURSE
This course is designed to meet the requirements for training in the use of navigation systems RADAR for captains and deck officers in charge of a navigational watch, based on regulation I/12 and II/1, section A-II/1, section A-II/1, Table A-II/1, in reference to the use of electronic AIDS to navigation of the International Convention on standards of training, certification and Watch-keeping for seafarers, 1978, as amended.
Content Of The Course
– Understand of possible errors to navigational equipment and thorough understanding of nowadays navigational system exploitation aspects;
– Understand of ship passage planning in restricted visibility;
– Understand of navigational information, which is received from resources, including RLS and ARPA to make a correct decision in relation to collision avoidance and safe navigation;
– Understand how to connect and effectively use all available navigational information to ensure safe navigation;
– Understand of how to coordinate and carry out search and rescue operations, applying procedures, included in International Aeronautical and Maritime Search and Rescue manual (IAMSAR);
Learning Process
The training will be a combination of theoretical lessons and practical exercises
Course Certificate:
A Certificate of Completion is given to each candidate who fulfills the Course
