ADVANCED TRAINING FOR OIL TANKERS
ABOUT COURSE
This course provides training for seafarers to be duly qualified under the STCW Section A–V/1-1
Para 2 and issue a Certificate of Training in “Advanced Training for Oil Tanker Cargo Operations.
Content Of Course
Oil tanker design, systems and equipment.
Knowledge of pump theory and characteristics, including types of cargo pumps and their safe operation.
Loading, unloading, care and handling of cargo.
Knowledge of the effect of bulk liquid cargoes on trim, stability and structural integrity.
Knowledge and understanding of oil cargo-related operations.
Knowledge and understanding of the physical and chemical properties of oil cargoes.
Understanding of procedures to prevent pollution of the atmosphere and the environment.
Knowledge and understanding of oil tanker emergency procedures.
Learning Process
The training will be a combination of theoretical lessons and practical exercises.
Course Certificate:
A Certificate of Completion is given to each candidate who fulfills the Course.
